Our mission at The Magic Thimble is to design and sew specialty items for people with medical challenges at an affordable price. Originally we wanted to give kids who have been advised to "patch" due to Amblyopia, Lazy Eye, or Strabismus a more comfortable choice beyond an adhesive patch or the standard black pirate style. However, since conception we have discovered there are a variety of medical reasons that adults also need to patch. To accommodate the needs of all our customers we carry several stock styles: a traditional concave in size small and regular, an oblong concave, a basic flat, and our patent pending Spec Sleeves that are worn with glasses. Additionally, we usually can accommodate custom design or style requests within a few days. We have recently added hospital gowns and moist heat bags to our website. Local customers have appreciated them for years and we hope others will like them as much.
